Brashlyan has been declared an architectural-historical reserve and is one of the most visited places in Strandja. The walk in Brashlyan is a trip to the past, it takes us more than 200 years back in time to let us feel the traditional atmosphere of an old Bulgarian village.

During the walk we will see several old wooden houses, which are the best preserved village houses in Strandja, although some of them were built more than 300 years ago.

The ancient "St. Dimitar" church is another site of interest that we will visit. It is also declared architectural monument as it is one the few temples of the early Christianity (from the before Revival age), that have remained today. In the past it had a famous church school belonging, which has been restored.

Next we will go through the Museum of Farming - an open museum, featuring a lot of tools and utensils, used by the Strandjans in the Revival period for various agricultural activities.

Our tour of the Brashlyan village also includes a visit of its big ethnographic collection, where you may get the unique opportunity to try weaving on a loom as they have done more than 100 years ago.
